Re: Footbal movies?
If you want to watch one of the best movies about football you need to buy "The Last Game". It's a true story about C.B. West High School in PA trying to win its third consecutive AAAA state title. It's similar to "Hoop Dreams" except it's football. Great movie with an unbelievable ending. It's probably not in any movie rental stores, but I bought it off of Amazon if you're interested.

Re: Footbal movies?
"Jerry McGuire" is not on your list...it`s a pretty good movie, although "show me the money" became a tiresome pop-culture catch phrase.
Looking over your list, in my opinion, "North Dallas Forty" is probably the best one, and, without a doubt, "The Program" is the worst. Cheesy and unrealistic. It's on Starz right now...I flipped the channel immediately.
"Alright boys, let's put the women and children to bed and go lookin' for dinner"... i hate that stupid [censored] line.

The football game in the original movie MASH is one of the most hilarious I've ever seen.
Good list to choose from/keep to view over and over. Of the ones mentioned, "Radio" is one of my favorites.

Re: Footbal movies?
Yes, along with Ed Asner, Gary Grimes, Andy Petrovic, Tim Conway, Tom Bosley, Dick Van Patten, and Bob Crane.
Johnny Unitas & Dick Butkus had cameos, Johnny U as himself.
